The truth was Emily had never regained consciousness.

Robert was arrested on March 5, 2014 and charged with first degree murder, kidnapping,

and tampering with evidence.

Over the next few days, he would take detectives to the spot where he had dumped the rope

in the bicycle pump he had used to kill Emily.

Detective Rene made the call to Emily's parents, with the most horrific news.

He had to inform them that Emily was no longer alive, and that she had been murdered

by Robert Early.

As the news of her murder began to spread, those who knew and loved her were shocked and

devastated.

Everyone had been hoping she would be found safe and well.
