On today's show, Mallie, boy, do we have a lot going on? Avie Lowe is back in the headlines. He claims he's done it. He's discovered alien life. Oh, okay. Yeah. And he did it within the 28 days. He said he would. So we'll talk about that today.

AI, of course, back in the news. When's it not in the news? I feel like it's always in the news a couple weeks ago. We had an AI list newscast.

What? Yeah. Wow. I know. We'll meet Apollo, the humanoid robot today. So you're like, well, as long as it's not that freaky one that does the fl- the flame throwing. Oh, yeah. Yeah, remember that one. Yeah. Yeah. We'll try to stay away from him.

We'll also tell you how robots are pouring drinks in Vegas. That could be fun. Oh, yes. Most definitely. Yeah. So maybe the upside. Yeah. Hopefully it has a heavy pour. Oh, yeah. They're imaginary news sources. And we'll end the day today with some pet stories. Mal. Um, we've got one not so nice pet. Actually, there's a vet out there that is encouraging pet owners. I know you've heard the story before folks, but we're going to talk about when you put your pets down why you should not.

Let's just leave them with the vet and walk away. Nope. We're going to talk about that for a quick moment here. And then, uh, the final story today, we're going to meet. So we're going to meet storm. The doggy who showed up at a metallic concert. Oh, I saw that we're sitting in the sea. Yeah. In the stadium. That was cute. Yeah. on a little bit of a sad note today, Mal. Uh, it turns out that, uh, an alien abductee from the 70s, uh, at least he claimed he was abducted by aliens. Calvin Parker, uh, who was abducted by aliens and Pascagula, Mississippi has died. He claimed he was abducted in 1973. Uh, he is, uh, again, Calvin Parker, the Pascagula man known around the world for his tale of alien abduction died last week, according to a friend of the family. Parker passed away.

August 24th, uh, after a long battle with kidney cancer, he was at home surrounded by loved ones, including his wife. Why not? Uh, the night of August 11th, 1973, something happened on the banks of the Pascagula River that Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson would spend the rest of their lives trying to explain it's a story well known to locals that W L O X news has reported on numerous times over the years Hickson and Parker both wrote books about it as a matter of fact.

The two men were fishing near Ingalls shipyard when they said they suddenly heard a piercing sound in spotted a large UFO hovering behind them.

There were three beings on board that carried the men onto the spaceship to examine them. After about 30 minutes, they were returned to the river bank and the UFO took off. Parker and Hickson tried to report what happened to officials at Kessler Air Force Base, but the military directed them to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators there had a cassette tape recording as the men talked about their alien encounter the night that had happened W L O X news shared excerpts from those tapes when they were rediscovered in the late 90s and early 2000s.

After the mysterious abduction, Hickson and Parker both passed lie detector tests and were even questioned under hypnosis. Investigators are on record saying the pair's stories never wavered.

Despite that, they were ridiculed and doubted by many. That's what kept Maria Blair from coming forward for 45 years. On that same October night, Blair was near the river waiting for her husband Jerry to leave on a boat to work offshore.

Jerry fell asleep and Maria saw a strange blue light streaking back and forth. She didn't think much of it at the time until the next day when she heard about Parker and Hickson's story.
