Summary
David’s wife Naomi is going away for six days, leaving David to look after the kids and home all on his own. It’s not something he’s particularly looking forward to, especially the first night which always makes him feel very lonely indeed. So he talks that all through with Joe and then reveals that as a prank, Naomi got one of her friends to invite him to a craft fair while she’s away to make him feel uncomfortable, trying to suggest that she fancies him. Even though David quickly realised it was a joke, it leads him and Joe to wonder how he would have behaved if it had all been for real.
