I feel like I need to begin the show with a brief apology to those of you listening in Connecticut

on our new affiliate, WICC. they picked us up yesterday and I felt terrible.

I couldn't be here yesterday.

There was no way to rearrange my travel to be able to make it back in time.

Now, we got to begin with a, I did not intend to embrace this topic as my own.

It just kind of happened.

It was not my intention to obsess about what's happening south of the border.

In fact, those of us in the

media or in the periphery of the media we're often told that these sorts of

topics, the opioid crisis, fentanyl and things like that, they're the topic to

avoid it depresses people. Everybody knows someone who's been a victim. And so tread lightly in these subjects.

But I am of the belief at this point that it's time to actually wage real war on the Mexican drug
