I'm your guide, Derek Hayes.

A good evening, indeed.

You know, I'm not gonna lie, it feels like it's been years since we last met.

Because we've been on break for this past month.

But let me tell you, that didn't stop me from keeping busy.

We finally wrapped shooting on our documentary just a few weeks ago.

And a huge thanks to David and our crew, Roxanne, Chris, Brian,

and of course our trusty guide, Sean Campbell. Quite honestly, I can't

wait to share this exploration with you all once we're finished. But, until then, all I have to

offer is the season 12 premiere and the long-awaited, much-deserved medical workers special.

Now, I've watched over these 18-plus months as these heroes battled in the trenches.

I watched them on the evening news, battered, beaten, and exhausted, red-faced, tears, streaming

down their faces.

But despite all that, they were still on their feet,

still addressing the needs of others.

Now, their appreciation is often overlooked,

but tonight we aim to change all that.

At least in this creepy little corner of the universe.
