So we have talked a lot about meat on this podcast.

It just tends to be a topic that comes up a lot.

It's really interesting to discuss.

And more often than not, we're talking about meat and bushering and all of that in the

realm of beef.

I mean, obviously, I love beef.

We raise beef, but I feel like there's another aspect of meat production, especially on

a homestead level that often kind of gets forgotten about in some circles or at least in

my circles.

And so that is this topic of pork, especially pastured pork.

And how can we raise pigs on our homestead in a sustainable way and an ethical way and

a way that's better for them and better for us?

And so I am so excited to have with me today Charles Mayfield.

He is an expert in this realm.

He is the founder of Ferro Skincare, the very first large-based skincare company, which

honestly, I had never heard of before, he emailed me.

So I'm really excited to talk about that.

But he also practices regenerative farming and has tons of experience in this world of

raising pigs.
