Hey everybody, welcome back to the old fashioned on purpose podcast.

So today's topic is a really important one, but I also feel like it's a really sticky topic

for a lot of homesteaders or prospective homesteaders and it can kind of be an elephant in the

room that we know we want to get into or deal with, but it can be a little bit iffy sometimes.

And that topic is the idea of butchering butchering for ourselves or helping other people butcher.

What is it like to take the life of an animal?

How do we do that in a humane and ethical way?

How do you handle all the emotions that come with that?

Are they good?

Are they bad?

I hear all these things talked about so much in homestead circles that I wanted to have

someone on today who can help us process all of that information and more.

So I was so excited to come across Harmony Cronin.

Just her description alone caught my attention.

She calls herself an off-grid warrior Viking princess for the apocalypse.

Like how awesome is that?

And she has worked as a professional big game skinner and has helped run a mobile slaughter

in Montana where she learned all the ins and outs of processing animals.

She now teaches classes on what she calls the honorable harvest, which I just love just

the title of that even, and also DIY animal slaughter and focuses on using every part of

the animal.

And so Harmony, I just loved seeing more about you on your website and on social media.
