I live in a small town in a valley of small towns.

And we had a police officer killed here last week.

I knew the guy for years is just Mac, you know?

Anyway.

Justin McIntyre was a chief of police for his police department.

And he was on patrol last week.

Now, chiefs don't go on patrol.

Chiefs run a department.

And they basically administrators deal with the public, deal with the press,

organized the department, and they manage.

Justin was a hands-on police chief, and he was a cop, and he liked being a cop.

And every chance he got, he went out on patrol.

And on this particular night, or afternoon, I should say, he went out.

And we don't have two-man cars here.

Those of you who live in bigger cities, they always have two cops in a car.
