I forget the guy's name, but there was a military leader, I believe he was an admiral.

He was a high-ranking military official who was captured by the Vietnamese with John McCain.

And a lot of men died in the Hanoi Hilton.

And this guy was asked what separated him from them.

And he said pessimism.

That he was a pessimist.

And it was the optimists whose spirits were broken.

They expected something better.
