Best gift I've ever received has to be a bike when I was younger, a pedal bike.

It was a sort of slick little road bike and I remember it was all like, it was so, it was all wrapped up,

it was so obvious what it was obviously because nothing's shaped like a bike and I had a little ribbon on it and I was so

a guest. For that was a life changer and I'm still sort of big on cycling around my area now so, for that one change me a little.

When we record the podcast we hit record in two different places so that there's a backup if something.

You're not a podcaster until you've been burned with audio at least one time.

Right. So we have two different we hit record in two different places. Sometimes I forget to hit record on the second place and

call me does this thing where she raised her hand above her head and then kind of points down like she's pushing a button.

For whatever reason we have a lot of hand signals that we use we do in the show in radio there is a ton of hand signals especially

like big ensemble shows with multiple people.

I'm very immune to being freaked out but when you do the little hit the record button thing I always panic a little bit and I just now realized why why it just happened before I forgot to hit record on the on the backup so that's why we're talking about this now.

That hand signal is the same signal that people in radio studios use when somebody cusses on the air when a caller cusses on the air and you need to signal to dump the audio out so the bad word doesn't go out to the masses.

And that right there is the signal and so would you rather be point straight ahead point straight at it straight at it and yeah okay I will change my hand signal sorry about that.

And I just realized why it's so funny it's like a you know like a stressor response from 25 years working radio any who back to our regularly scheduled show.

Ellie did something so sweet the other day.

It wasn't sweet she just did a thing but to me it was really sweet because it reminded me of my mom okay you had gone into a store it was after we went out to dinner I think on Saturday night.

You had gone into a store and Ellie what and I like walked up this sidewalk to like this little grassy area to wait for you and she bent over at one point to pull a weed out of the ground was like a dandelion that was not yet a dandelion and she bent over to pull it out and she was trying to pull it.

And she couldn't so then she grabbed my finger and pulled me down to it so I could pull it out and then I pulled it out and she said it like on the sidewalk like the weed and then she did it a second time in the reason that hit me in my heart was because my mom couldn't stand weeds in a yard and she would.

I mean it wouldn't shock me if my dad reported that she would do it multiple times a day but like she would if she was sitting on the front porch and notice a couple of dandelions she would get down off the porch pull the dandelions up and either throw them you know behind the garden or like put them on the sidewalk where they would with her up and die yeah and it was so sweet because.

The weeds didn't look significantly different than the grass you know it's still kind like it's still in Atlanta it's still kind of in some spots like springtime grass you know it hasn't been like perfectly cut yet so I just already I felt and I felt like it was a little nod from my mom like hello because it was just it was just so she did it in the exact same way my mom would do it like she just laser focused on it marched over to it not strong enough to pull it out of the ground.

Not strong enough to pull it up so made me do it and then just took it through it off to the side and I'm like that's done a D right there pulling weeds from heaven.
