So one of the cool things about my life over the years is that I have gotten to meet people through running Red State and then the resurgent and being on radio, who I never would have otherwise encountered who have just got to be genuine prayer warriors for my family, my wife and her health, and just genuinely nice people. I probably would have

never gotten to know. And that's just one of the cool job perks here is getting to know people

like my next guest. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I genuinely call him a friend.

And he's also a conservative warrior in the United States House

of Representatives who sits in the House Freedom Caucus, and he's from right here in Georgia

with me. Congressman Jody Heiss, welcome to the program. How are you? How is your wife?

Eric, we're all doing well. Hope you are. And listen, thank you for your friendship over the years

as well. You are one of

the first to come on board with me as we were going to Congress, and you've been there as a sounding

board ever since. And I just deeply appreciate you, and it's great to be back on your show.

I'm glad to have you. Now, you are rufflin feathers today.

You know the dynamic in the Georgia legislature, and we both know that other legislatures have similar dynamics,

where you have establishment officials who rule the roost, and they try to isolate conservatives, and you've

experienced this yourself in Congress, where you have to get all your talking points from

the leadership and not be able to think for yourself or surround yourself with like-minded

people.

And yet now you guys are trying to build at the state level what you all have in Washington,

and I'm excited and love

the idea of it. Well, I do too, Eric. Can I tell you? I think the best way to look at all of this

is to get a bird's eye perspective and not look at the political side of this of establishment

versus conservatives or Democrats or whatever.
