Now, as I teased in the last episode, tonight's show is holiday, or more specifically Christmas-themed.

Calls from across the country that have some connection to that joyous, cheerful holiday.

But as cheerful as Christmas may be,

there is a hint of mystery, intrigue,

and even spookiness,

hidden beneath our customs and traditions.

In times of old, ghost stories would be shared by a roaring fire in celebration.

And of course, we all know of the ghosts of the Dickens classic, a Christmas Carol.

Well, tonight, I have a collection of stories that just might revive that tradition.

Now, before we launch this slaveful of terrorizing tales, there are a few stories throughout

this episode that you might consider a Christmas spoiler.

So if you have youngsters listening, you might want to skip this one, or at the very least

heed my warning before each of those calls are played.

But first, we begin our night in the state of Delaware,

where listener Jill has a touching story about a Christmas bond that goes beyond death.

Hi Derek, this is Jill from Delaware. My story happened in 2010. It's actually not a scary story.

You might want to save this for a Christmastime episode because it happened very near Christmas.

That year was tough for me because my father passed away in August of 2010. My husband was

working away from home most of the time.

And so I was alone a lot.
