0:38.8	today we are going to begin the Book of Revelation. Keep an eye out for an intro video to the Book of

0:54.5	So for now, let's get started.
0:57.2	In Revelation, Chapter 1, the Apostle John, who walked with Jesus during his earthly ministry was an exile on the island of Patmos when an angel of the Lord appeared to him and told him to record everything he saw.
1:12.0	John reminds us he is our brother and partner in the affliction,
1:16.2	kingdom, and endurance that are in Jesus. As he puts pen to scroll, John also reminds us that Jesus is the one who is, who was, and who is to come.
1:29.2	He is the first and the last and the living one. He was dead but is now alive forever and he holds the keys of
1:37.2	death and Hades. He is our king eternal and he will be victorious.
1:43.2	And all the hard passages to come, these statements are what we must keep front and center.
1:49.1	Revelation is a book about Christ and his glorious return and how God will make all things new again.
1:57.0	When Jesus appears to John, there are seven stars in his right hand and seven lampstand. The lamp stands are the seven churches and the stars are the
2:06.8	angels of the seven churches. Each angel has a specific message to take to the churches.
2:13.0	Let's take a quick look at each one and see how it applies.
2:17.0	Revelation, chapters two and three, include the messages sent to these churches.
2:22.0	These were historical promises. include the messages sent to these churches.
