Welcome back to a year in the Bible with daily grace. My name is Katie and we're jumping

into Exodus 7 through 9 today. In these chapters, God annexed plays against Egypt because

of Pharaoh's refusal to let them go worship him. These chapters cover seven of the ten

plagues. When Moses and Aaron approached Pharaoh for the first time, God instructs Moses

to throw his staff on the ground to become a snake. Moses did just that, but Pharaoh's

team of sorcerers did the same. Moses's snake swallowed theirs, but Pharaoh's heart was

still hardened, and he would not recognize God. God instructed Moses to go back to Pharaoh,

meeting him by the Nile River. Moses asked again for the Hebrews to be freed to worship.

He threatened to turn the Nile River into blood, making the fish die and the water stink.

You Pharaoh refused blood flowed through Egypt, but Pharaoh's magicians were able to do the same,

so Pharaoh still did not believe. Chapter eight brings a plague of frogs. A week later,

Moses asked Pharaoh again to free God's people. This time, he threatens to make frogs swarm Egypt.

Pharaoh again refuses, so in came the frogs. Frogs were in their beds and their

kitchens and their workshops, and again magicians did the exact same. But this time,

Pharaoh asked Moses to pray to God and relieve Egypt of their frogs. He promised he would let the

Hebrews go. Moses prayed and the frogs returned to the Nile. Again, Pharaoh did not free the Hebrews

to worship. Next came the third plague. Aaron struck the dust of the ground and nats

filled Egypt. They covered the people and animals. This time, Pharaoh's sorcerers could not reproduce

what God had done. This is the hand of God, they said. Later, Moses warned Pharaoh about a fourth
