The employee called to report that Roberto Sanchez, who was due in court that morning for sentencing regarding a domestic abuse charge against his wife, Sonia, was a no-show.

Given the nature of Roberto's crime and the fact that Sonia had a restraining order against him, the DA's office became worried about Sonia's welfare.

When the employee called Sonia at work to check on her, she was told that Sonia had not

shown up that day. The employee immediately called Sonia's home, whereupon she discovered

that Roberto was there and preventing Sonia and the children from leaving. The DA's office
