Summary

1:45.0	About 20 miles outside Sioux Falls, there's a town named Canestota.
1:49.0	It's super rural, quiet, and has very little crime.
1:53.0	And in the town of Canestota, lies a 40-acre property where the Strayall family lived back in 1996.
1:59.0	Piper and Van Strayall, the couple that lived there, met at a Bible camp in Oregon when they were in their early 20s and instantly fell in love.
2:07.0	After they got married, they wanted to find a place to settle down and start a family.
2:11.0	So after plenty of searching, they made the choice to move to Canestota, South Dakota, where they eventually had a daughter, Shana, and a son, Nathan.
2:19.0	At the time of our story, in 1996, Shana was three years old and Nathan was only two.
2:25.0	And an important part of the Strayall family was that they were very religious and dedicated so much of their lives to God.
