Ukraine envoy Keith Kellogg quits after plan for U.S. peace leaked.

Subhead, this is the London Telegraph, London. The exit of the retired general and key

Ukraine advocate will be unwelcome news as Keefe comes under pressure to seed territory to

Russia. I welcome my colleague Anatole Levin, the director of the Eurasia Project of the

Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.

General Kellogg is saying this is a normal turn of affairs.

He was put in place as a temporary envoy for 300 days, according to the rules of the U.S. Congress.

And January is a good time to step down.

However, there's some sense here that there's disorder, and General Kellogg is not endorsing it.

What is the peace plan that you've written about very carefully?

Hello, John. Well, the peace plan has been worked out, it seems, between Steve Whitkoff and one of the Russian envoys, Kirill Demetriath.

And it seems that Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were also involved.

But the Russian government has not actually said that it has even negotiated this plan. It hasn't, you know, it hasn't, it hasn't

acknowledged it. So we don't really know for sure what authority Dmitrius had to,

to draw this up. And of course, nothing has been formally agreed. But it,

for the first time, it actually addresses some of the concrete points. And it does meet Russia's, what I learned, you know,

in Moscow are, you know, Russia's red lines, the things that it would not concede. Now, there are

some major concessions to Russia, and above all, the acceptance that Ukraine will have to leave the last slice of the Donbass that it still holds.
