Summary

In December of 2001, Tracey Richter was home with her three children when a brutal home invasion happened. 2 men came into Traceys home and choked her with her own pantyhose until she fell unconscious while her 3 kids were locked in a room upstairs for safety. She woke up, grabbed 2 guns from a nearby gun cabinet and shot 9 rounds into one of the men 20 y/o Dustin Wehde, killing him instantly. Police looked at this as a home invasion gone wrong but after analyzing the crime scene and speaking with neighbors, family and friends. we are going to be talking about the case of Tracy Richter. Now there is a lot to get through. So we're just going to hop right into it

in a very small town in Iowa named early has a population of around under a thousand people. It was a big town

but not many people lived in it because it was mostly for like farmers or retired people that wanted to just

live on the countryside. It was a town where everybody knew everyone and not that much crime really went down in the town.

It was mostly just a fun and loving community until one night in December of 2001 a 911 call was made from 11 year old

Bert who was hiding upstairs in his bedroom with his two younger siblings Noah and Mason who aged three and one years old.

He was saying that someone had broken into their home and attempted at killing his mother by strangling her with her own

pantyhose. The family consisted of Tracy the mother Michael the father Bert their oldest son Noah their second oldest son
