Hey everybody, Mary M. Williamson here. What an extraordinary week this is. Joe Biden has won

0:20.8

the American presidency, although that fact is being disputed as we speak by the current president,

0:26.5

Donald J. Trump. What does this mean? We have to ask ourselves some very, very serious questions.

0:32.3

You know, I've worked a lot with people who are cancer survivors, people who have been through

0:38.3

terminal diseases, supposedly terminal diseases, and have found themselves surviving the experience.

0:43.6

And more often than not, people say, this has changed my life. It has made me think about the

0:48.0

purpose of my life and has made me want to make some real changes in the way I live it. And I think

0:53.5

that this country has to ask that same kind of question right now. First of all, we have to

0:58.5

look in the mirror. Everybody says that right now. Oh, we have to look in the mirror. It's one

1:25.8

the question, then we could end up back here sooner than we even think. We could end up back here

1:31.1

in 2022. We could end up back here in 2024. You know, there's a television commercial that's

1:38.8

on TV a lot right now. And it's a couple who are driving a car, the man is driving, and they have

1:44.6

children in the back seat. And they're driving out of their driveway. And you can see that a truck

1:51.8

is coming past. And I guess because of some signal on the car, the husband who is driving is

1:57.6

reminded that in fact, there is a truck there and he better stop really quick and he puts on his

2:03.0

brakes. And at that point, you see the husband and wife look at each other with profound shock

2:08.0

and relief that the car had stopped in time and they had basically avoided killing their children.

2:13.5

I feel that that's a good analogy to what just happened in the United States, except we have to
