So this reissue, it is one that I'm really excited about. It is an episode from the show Heat Rocks, and it's hosted by music writer Oliver Wang and the DJ and music supervisor Morgan Rhodes.

So on each episode of this show, they invite a special guest to talk about a heat rock.

A hot record, a scorcher, a banger, just awesome albums from soul, hip-hop, funk, jazz, whatever.

Speaking of hanging out, I really feel like The Room in this episode could not have had a

better group of people in it between Oliver and Morgan, and they've brought in their friend Cut Chemist, who a lot of folks on this

podcast may know as a DJ and a producer and a deep crate digger himself. So he's brought in this

record from 1972 by a band called Samande. And if you've been keeping tabs at all on the spiritual

jazz revival that's been lighting up Southern California, you will find plenty to love in

Samande's music.

It is so good.

I have to say this is like one of my favorite all-time records.

I was really excited to listen to this episode.
