I'm... I... I am delighted to be here at the Hay Festival BBC stage to interview John Ronson.

John is an author, journalist, screenwriter, broadcaster and documentary maker.

His uniquely unjudgmental, empathetic and analytical style has made him one of our best loved storytellers. His curiosity has taken him

into worlds of religious and political extremism, conspiracy, Christianity,

psychopathy, pornography and even UFOs with Robbie Williams.

His work is a translation tool between us, his audience, and the people who we find the most

confusing and the most beguiling. He hones in on individual

stories to help us better understand humanity, society and in some uncomfortable moments

ourselves. Most recently he's turned his attention to the Culture Wars in his fantastic new audio series,

Things Fell Apart.
