daily grace. My name is Jenny and today we are talking about 2nd

Corinthians chapter 7 through 9.

Yesterday we discussed the new covenant weariness in the body and Paul's defense

against accusations against his character.

Today Paul talks about joy in repentance and giving.

Both things are still extremely applicable to us today.

So let's jump right in. You may remember from previous

chapters that Paul had some hard things to say to the Corinthians. He has called

them out on their sin and encouraged them to repent.

However, Paul has never called them out in order to condemn them.

Rather, he desires to build them up and point them to the Lord because that is what is best for them. From reading today's chapters we see that some of the Corinthians have recognized their sins and experienced godly grief and the reconciliation to God.

It is important to pause here and discuss that Jesus died on the cross so that we could be reconciled to God. However, if we are not pursuing a relationship with

him, even though we have committed our life to Christ, we will feel the tension of not walking close with him.

Therefore, we experience peace when we acknowledge our sins and commit to being obedient to his will.

As the Corinthians were being obedient to God, they also experience

reconciliation with Paul. Truly the Gospel is a ministry of reconciliation.

In Chapter 8, Paul talks about how the Christians in Macedonia,
