Corinthians 7 through 9.

And these chapters can be a little confusing for some,

but I'm sure that by carefully studying today's passage,

you will walk away with more understanding about the purpose of Paul's words.

So let's get started.

In these chapters, Paul first addresses marriage, singleness, and sex.

His advice regarding intimacy between husbands and wives may seem a little strange at first, but he is giving such advice to avoid sexual immorality.

This passage has been abused by some who will use it as a claim

that if you are not intimate with your spouse then is your fault if they step out.

However, this is not what Paul is saying. Everyone is responsible for their own sin.

However, we should care for our spouses by not depriving them of intimacy.
