0:28.6	So as many of you may know, if you've listened to the previous seasons of this show,
0:33.2	I come to all of this with a really deep personal connection, which is that I strongly believe
0:39.3	that my niece and nephew are victims of Munchausen by proxy abuse. My sister has been
0:45.8	investigated twice for medical child abuse. And though she has not been charged with the crime,
0:52.7	one of the investigations involved a two-year-long police investigation
0:57.3	that I was able to obtain a lot of information from.
1:01.0	And so I know that the evidence against her was incredibly strong.
1:05.9	In particular, that they had video footage of her tampering with medications.
1:11.7	So after my sister was investigated for the second time for medical child abuse,
1:17.3	this time of her youngest child, Mnese,
1:21.0	I was really hopeful during that investigation that something was going to come of it
1:26.4	because I knew the police were involved.
1:29.1	They had a lot to go on, and they seemed really serious about it.
1:32.8	And when I got the news in the summer of 2019,
1:38.9	bizarrely right before my book came out,
1:40.9	that she'd gotten her kids back,
1:43.9	it was just so crushing because even though it
