I'm John Bachelors speaking with my good colleague Avana Stradner, my guide on the Western Balkans.

And since we first started talking, it's become much more complicated because major

powers have entered the contest. The US in the late 20th century Bond Belgrade

along with NATO. It was important for Mr.

Shejin Ping in his visit to Europe, not only to visit Macron in Paris, and

to visit Hungary Budapest, Orban in Budapest, but to visit Vutich in Serbia and Belgrade.

And to mention the Chinese National who died with a bad bombing done by the US in

1998 or 99 my memory is dim on that exact date but in any event this was China's linking with the

national security of the Western Balkans and Russia and the disinformation

campaign making this connection that the war NATO has

launched against Russia according to Kremlin is similar to the war NATO

launched against Serbia leading to the death of that Chinese national.

Ivana, to counter this doesn't take much just some facts out of Wikipedia.

To your knowledge does NATO have an operation to counter this

disinformation that's constant beating a drum in in the Western Balkans. Is anything underway?

NATO has acknowledged a few weeks ago that hybrid worker coming from Russia is a serious threat to NATO.

When it comes to the strategy in the Balkans,

there is no best strategy on the Balkans. Unfortunately, many Western leaders

see incidents in the Western Balkans as a separate incidents

at isolated incidents from the rest of what Russia has been doing in places such as

Georgia or Moldova and that's a very problematic thing because Russia is thinking strategically we are thinking tactically and that's the key difference when it comes to NATO I have to give a credit where credit is due. So NATO already sent anti-hybrid warfare teams in the past in places such as

Montenegro and I truly hope that they are going to do a very similar thing soon in the rest of the Balkans.
