Today's alert is to help you understand the new definitions

that happen when we're in an era of George Orwell's 1984 double speak

or double talk or any number of other descriptions that he gave to

saying one thing that means exactly the opposite of the other.

So for example,

if there is a recession,

you find as two periods of a decline in GDP in a row,

you say it's not a recession.

That the economy is very strong.

You say that's a strong economy,

even though it's always been defined as a recession.

Or if you say there's a genocide going on,

no, it's ethnic cleansing.

So here we have a massive piece of legislation

that will have a profound effect on our economy,

on our way of life,

on the type of government we have,
