0:48.2 | literally decades. I started out in the day when when telecommunications was a monopoly and it was about to be |
0:58.0 | metamorphosed into a competitive world and it occurred to me at the time that because I worked for a telco it occurred to me that we weren't ready. We weren't ready because you know we didn't have customer service that that was really serving customers. We didn't have marketing that was focused on individuals. 2:35.6 | organizations are and that whole continuum of standing out. Yeah. That's what is. I love what you're saying about everything in your book is still valid because I've been in this business for decades as well off and on but I started you know when I was in high school I started promoting clubs and |
2:56.2 | DJ's and events and that was my first foray into marketing but I had always had kind of that |
3:00.8 | sense of wanting to build community and bring people together and think about innovative ways to do that. And so some of the things that stuck out from what you just said in your opening summary were, you know, in this day and age, even when the methods of delivering communications and reaching customers has is always evolving and changing and with digital and all these other platform new platforms coming up and popping up and oh now you have to do this to get the algorithm or you have to do this. |
