Welcome, everybody, and thank you for being part of the Rabbi Daniel Lapin's show.

Well, this particular show, I am preparing just after Judge Roy Moore won the seat against the mainstream candidate, the Mitch McConnell candidate.

And I'm not going to make the whole show about politics in that sense.

In other words, I'm not going to sort of carry on and beat that dead horse.

I do think that President Trump learned a lesson from that.

He backed the wrong candidate in order to, and I'm sure he had a calculation, to placate

mainstream GOP folks and to show that he's a team player and to sort of give the mainstream Republican Party

a little bit of a sense of, you know, he's not off the reservation.

He's part of it all.

But he certainly does acknowledge now that that was a mistake.

He abandoned his principles, basically. And exactly the same people

who voted and elected Judge Roy Moore are the same people who elected him. And I shouldn't say

there. I should say we to tell you the honest truth. And I would also add that we do not have limitless patience in the sense that we don't want to go to any further in the direction of a situation where important decisions that affect the quality of our lives in

profound ways are these decisions are made by people who have contempt for us, who do not

consult us, and who care absolutely nothing about us.

And in this sense, I think most of us, many of us, feel that Republican majority leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, is the equivalent of Nancy Pelosi.

I bet the two of them have a very fine collegial relationship, and I don't see how that's possible.
