I'm Ewan Mackle Wraith and I'm standing by the shores of Loch Garten.

There's quite a lot of people wandering around with huge lenses and binoculars.

And they're looking for ospreys, more of which later.

I'm with Roy Dennis, who's just written a book, Restoring the Wild,

60 years of rewilding our skies, our woods and our waterways.

And there's so many exciting things happening in Scotland in terms of our wildlife and our environment.

And Roy's been pretty much at the heart of that for most of these changes.

Roy, it's a stunning place. Yeah, Lockgarten is special to me because

I came here when I was 19 years old. I'd been in Shetland on the island of Fair Isle and George

Waterston who became a mentor to me, a major mentor, said to me, after you've had a year on the

Fair Arborated Laboratory, would you like to come to me, after you've had a year on the Fair Island Bird Observatory,

would you like to come to Lockgarten and look after this one pair of ospreys?

So I came here.

Now, you ended up on Fair Isle as a warden?

I mean, that, as a young ornithologist, I mean, that's a dream.
