If she doesn't, or if she performs a dangerous action, I win. These cases were created by me.

They are not derived from actual ABM cases that I had on my exam and they are not real

patients. Maddie, you ready to go? Yep, I'm ready. All righty. You have a piece of paper out,

human body on the left? Yep, I'm ready to go. All right. Get the timer. All right. The timer has been started. You are working at

Clerkship General when the next chart is handed to you. It's a six-month-old named Charlie

with the chief complaint of constipation. All right. So I walk into Charlie's room and what do I see?

You see a mother sitting calmly on the side of the bed and you see Charlie, a six-month-old baby,

laying on his back seemingly asleep in no acute distress.

All right. Hi, Mom. My name is Dr. Watts. What brings you into the ER today?

Hi, Dr. Watts. I was hoping you could help Charlie get back to his usual self. He was doing

great last week, you know, doing all the things that healthy babies do. But about a week ago,

he started getting constipated usually he has the opposite problem usually

you know he runs a lot and frequent stools so this was a little atypical for him and for the last

day or two he really hasn't been eating or drinking much and is much more sleepy than usual so
