entire call here. So let's start back up again. Let's dive back into the news. I wanted to get your thoughts on the James

Shield signing. We know it's four years, 75 mill. Jason and I spoke about it on

Sunday or actually on Saturday when it was kind of going down it wasn't I don't think

it was a hundred percent official yet but we gave our thoughts but I'd

definitely interested on your thoughts now that you and I talked a little bit

about it last week because it was heating up but it wasn't set in stone.

Now that it's set in stone, how do you kind of value him and the San Diego rotation as a whole?

You know, I think it was a good move for them in real life baseball. I mean James Shields is definitely

declining. I think you can see it in a couple of different places. Not necessarily his velocity.

I mean he's been pretty good with the velocity and in terms of pitch mix he has improved

his cutter recently but the weird thing is is his cutter is now better than his change and I think that I think that that

decline and sort of the whiff rate of his change is just a sign of his decline that He's not he's not a leap with that change up anymore and it's fine. He's still a good pitcher and I'd like it from a real life standpoint it's good for him I think I think a lot of this

this move will be good for him as fantasy value too and that you know while his skills may decline a little

bit more this will mask that a little bit.

So Shields should like it.

He has Homer, he's had Homeritis over his career and he should be able to avoid that in

San Diego.

So from a real life standpoint, great. I mean, I like Robbie Erlin. I like

Matt Whisler. But I like him a lot better if you don't necessarily need to depend on.
