Okay, so wide receiver from Rice, obviously the brother to Christian McCaffrey, the son of Ed

McCaffrey, played at Rice for the last two seasons,

started out his career in Nebraska.

He was a four-star quarterback prospect, dual-threat quarterback prospect, going to Nebraska.

After a couple of seasons, really not doing much at all at Nebraska,

and competing with Adrian Martinez at the time, He ended up leaving, looking for another school.

He ended up actually going to Louisville for about a week or two before realizing that he wasn't

going to be that competitive with Malik Cunningham at quarterback. So he goes to Rice, where again,

he tries to become the starting quarterback for Rice. There was a conversation he had with one of the coaches, and basically he came to them and said,

I want to change to receiver.

This is a thing that was conversed, I guess, in the McCaffrey household about switching positions,

but they said they were always going to leave it up to Luke and let Luke make that decision

on his own.

He made that decision just about two years ago, and it was for the better.

So he's only really been playing the wide-to-share position full-time for just about the past
