And welcome back as we join you once again in the midst of a pretty fun February for the golf season here on the First Cup podcast with Kyle Porter.

right here. Kyle, you know, we were, we were really hyped about the field strength, you know,

always one thing we like to talk about when we look ahead. And when you look back at the last

weekend, you know,

and we'll get to Bubba Watson, our winner here in just a little bit,

but there was a moment where our leaderboard was not matching the strength

of the odds board going into the tournament.

Our heavy hitters did not really live up to that Hollywood billing that we were expecting from All Star Weekend.

It was touch and go for a while. I think the thing that I really like, and a lot of people pointing this out on Twitter, is that you got to Sunday and it was a really diverse leaderboard.

And I think that's, it's not always the sign of a great course but sometimes it is

and you had guys like oh I don't know uh graham McDowell was up there he's one of the shorter guys on tour

and then you had Tony finnell and bubble Watson up there right and I think there were other guys

I can't remember off the top of my head that were that were shorter hitters.

And to me, that's, that's pretty cool.

Like, that's a, that's a cool leaderboard.

And, you know, it turned out that one of the longest guys ever ends up winning the tournament for the third time in five years.

But I thought it was, I thought it was a unique, I mean, it's just such a unique event and a unique

course that gives you so many different options for how to play shots and how to hit shots

and what lines to take and different fairways.

And it's fascinating, I think, more than anything, to watch those guys think their way around a golf course.

And Riviera really provides for that.
