The book of Revelation can be understood.

And here to help us understand it today is Ron Rhodes. Author, lecturer, and Ron

welcome to Prophecy Watchers. It's always a pleasure. Thank you for having me today.

We're going to talk about your book, and I'll pull it out here and show everybody

40 days through Revelation, and also another book that you have written, What Happens After

Life? But first, I want to talk about revelation. And I introduced today's program by saying

revelation can be understood. And I think your book 40 days through Revelation proves it.

Well, I think it can be understood.

And you know, let me just remind you of my basic principle of interpretation,

which is when the plain sense makes good sense,

seek no other sense lest you end up in nonsense.

That's the approach I always use with biblical prophecy.

And as I've told you on a number of occasions, that principle has led me to conclude that if you

want to understand how God is going to fulfill prophecy in the future, take a look at how God

has fulfilled prophecy in the past. And in the past, God has always fulfilled prophecy literally,

just as the written word of God said.

And so when we go to the book of Revelation, what we want to do is to understand the literal

truths that are there. Now I know what you're thinking. There are symbols in the book of

Revelation.

There are. The book itself is tremendously symbolic. And a lot of people say, you know, I can't, that's too much for me.

That's right.
