section of the Bible. Okay, we're in Romans 8, guys, so take your Bible, turn to Romans 8.

I want to look at verses 14 through 17.

So when I say turn to Romans 8, I don't mean turn on Romans 8, okay? So for those watching it by live stream, real Christians use real

Bibles, okay? Because we really don't know what Kevin's looking at right now.

He's just scrolling through things.

Okay, Romans 8.

To put a title on this, I would just call this

The Spirit at Work, and we're going to talk about the Spirit's work in our sanctification, in our Christian growth.

So let me read these four verses, and we'll see if we can cover this but beginning in

verse 14 for all who are being led by the spirit of God these are the sons of God.

And you have in, for you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out

Abba Father.

The spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God and if children

heirs also heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

These verses address the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our Christian lives.

And why this is so very important is it has been well said that the Christian life is not hard, it's impossible.

And there's only been one who has lived it perfectly, and that's Jesus Christ
