This is CBSI in the world. I'm John Batch with Antonio Colibos-Shanu of Geopolitical Futures,

that is moments away from the fighting in Ukraine and from the threat of the Russian invasion

of Ukraine. Right now a decision has been made, perhaps as recently as the meeting in Ramstein,

airbase in Germany in these last days about what is to be done. They were talking about

weapon systems, but we learn from a news report, I believe it was the New York Times reporting

first and now it's been picked up, that the 101st Airborne that has been deployed in pieces

into Romania is now to be rotating at an airbase that is near the city of Constanza.

Where is that, Antonio? Constanza.

That is on the Black Sea shore, so it is on our eastern side, our meaning Romania's eastern

side. Very close to the Ukrainian border, very close to something that was made famous

during the war called Serpent's Island, nearby Constanza and nearby Odessa. So it is

the port that is taking on right now a lot of Ukrainian that has been taking on a lot

of the Ukrainian grain to the world.

And the 101st Airborne is deployed there now. What's new here is that it's not deployed

for exercise with the Romanian forces or because there was concern in Romania about Ukraine's

conflict growing through Moldova into Romania. Look at your Black Sea basin. You learn

it with me, but also because it's going to be a rotating deployment. 101st Airborne

comes through Romania. Is there comment in your news cycle on the media about this decision

in Ukraine on a daily basis, but we have not or I have not followed closely the news on
