David Maxwell attending a conference that is the first anniversary of the Republic of

Korea, US, Japan Summit. It took place in the summer of

2023. You may all recall the photographs of the three leaders standing

together, Kishita of Japan, Yun of South Korea, and Biden of the United States

at Camp David, a storied place for the meetings of allies.

I'm reading these days about Churchill and Roosevelt at

Camp David fishing. So there have been a lot of fish caught at Camp David and we

welcome David Maxwell attending this event in Seoul

and speaking to us now about the proceeds.

I also mentioned there is an anniversary being celebrated

the 8-15, August 15th, unification doctrine.

The summit I remember vividly, the unification Doctrine, that is new to me.

Please explain, good day to you, David.

Well, this month on August 15th, which is the founding of the Republic of Korea, the liberation of Korea from

Japan on August 15th, President Eun gave his speech and unveiled the new what's called now the 815

Unification doctrine. So it is a brand new very innovative approach to

unification that focuses on freedom, democracy, human rights

in North Korea and has really rejected the age-old construct of one system or one country two systems and so now

it is really focused on peaceful unification but unification that requires change in the north by the Korean
