All right, guys, welcome back to Boston Confidential. Just a bit of house cleaning stuff to begin the show with.

I had been in contact with Jerry Hoode, who is the sister of Teresa Corley.

And Teresa was murdered in December, 1978.

So this isn't a great time of the year for the Coley family. But Jerry is a fighter in this case.

They still haven't received justice on it. But the update I wanted to provide to you is the state

police who are handling this case have agreed to do MVAC testing on some of the materials that were found at the scene of the crime.

And that's a big deal. That's a big leap. And I'm hoping that this provides a break in the case.

I have to admit I'm not super informed as to what happens with the MVAC. I know there's a vacuum

portion of this process. And it's been breaking cases all over the

country.

But my problem with it really is, again, if you go back and listen to those two episodes,

this was the worst police investigation I've ever come across.

And let me give you a little bit of

recap on the case. And then we'll get to our episode. So in December, 1978, Teresa Corley is

going out with some friends. They had started at a private residence. And Teresa Corley was 19.

And I believe the drinking age in 1978 was age 18. I know that's crazy,
