about the hidden costs of electric vehicles. Thanks for joining us here on the Radio Free

Hillsdale Hour. Thank you for having me. We want to talk a bit today about the electric vehicles,

the hidden costs of electric vehicles, perhaps alternatives to electric vehicles if we're moving

long, the Chevy Volt, which no longer exists in its form, and the Prius and others. What's

the current status? What's the popularity of electric vehicles in the U.S.

right now? Well, it's certainly being pushed. So popularity, if you were to read the magazines,

the automotive magazines, you're going to see a lot of hype about electric vehicles. Actually,

sales were down last year. The sales did not reach the goal that they had anticipated. And I think

at the root of that, you need to understand that a lot of the sales have been driven by federal

tax credits, the people have been receiving of about $7,500 a vehicle. Some of those vehicles now,

it was to incentivize companies to build them. And so now companies such as Tesla and even General
