At Showtime, we runs a network. He's responsible for an amazing kind of new programming of the network shows, such as weeds and Dexter.

And now the newest, the Tudors. Thanks for coming back, Bob.

My pleasure. Talk to us about the Tudors. Tell it, because it's a really interesting and different take on Henry the A. It is. You know, we always try to do things that are really different. And yet we want these things to be accessible. And so somebody came to us with the idea of doing this period show. And yet kind of doing it in a way that we haven't seen before.

So it's the younger version of Henry.

It's not the typical fat, you know, drumstick eating tyrant that we're used to seeing.

And we just got interested in exploring what happened to a guy who was in his mid-20s,

who was one of the most powerful people in the world.

And he'd been in an forced marriage that he didn't care about.

And what happens when he falls in love with a young woman in Berlin for the first time?

And ultimately, everything sort of goes haywire.

And we all know that story.

But we usually see it, you know, in a sort of obvious way.

And this is anything but obvious.

It's a very different kind of portrait of this typical historical figure.

He's young, athletic, you know, very well-educated.
