| 0:36.6 | Powerful. Thanks for coming. Thanks for coming, dog. Thanks for having me. Straight out the desert. Thanks. Straight out the desert. Yeah, I got back from Saudi Day before yesterday. So that was, yeah, I'm still getting over, actually. I went on the scales this morning, and I've lost nearly a stone in white because obviously it's a very dry country, although I don't, I only drink a beer a night. But I lived on the catering, which was rice and vegetables. I've never eaten as Alfie for a week. So you reckon it was that just being like clean and like routineed? Yeah, I just didn't eat much. I slept most of the time. I've probably lost body mass because I was horizontal for the whole time I was there. Honestly, they made a video of how much I slept. But like, I did, Matt said, Matt Jones was there a week before. And he said, he said it was quite tough, but all right. But the all right bit was a lie. It was just tough. Was it really? Yeah, I got there. |
| 1:27.7 | It's a big deal though, dude. |
| 1:28.8 | Dacos, massive, isn't it? |
| 1:30.1 | Hey, don't get me wrong. |
| 1:30.9 | Yeah. |
| 1:31.1 | It was overwhelming. |
| 1:32.6 | Yeah. |
| 1:39.9 | So I got there and I went to this lush hotel and I was like, here we go. It's all right. Red Ball Motorsports. I know how to do it. and then I get a text. |
| 1:41.7 | We pick you up at 5am, |
| 1:44.9 | which is 3am UK time, right? |
| 1:46.2 | And I was not ready for that. |
| 2:01.1 | So I walked out the hotel at 5am and left basically all my belongings in there because I was just, I didn't even consider. Throughout the week I found stuff I've lost, like charges, cables, shoes, all sorts of shit. Everything I left in that room. And then I was in a tent for the week. And then... So what sort of tent are we talking? What sort of like tent set up is it? It was a lush tent. It was a massive one. I had a bloke who followed me from Biverwack to Bivowack and it was only his job to take the tent down, stick it in a pickup, drive six hours to the next one, put it up, and he was getting there a bit late, and, like, bizarrely enough, a couple of mornings, I got out of the tent, and he was stood there, like, a full hour of dude in that dish-dash gear, 5.30 in the morning, hello, mate, taking my tent down. Ready to go. Yeah. Ready to go. Because he knows he's got a six-hour drive over Sanjans to get to the next bit. So it was like off-to-the-plane internal flight every day for an hour. So did it feel like the same room every day then? Kind of. So the Bivowat moves all over the place, every day almost, and it's exactly the same as the last one. Honestly, |
| 2:52.5 | it was, you never, I can't even, honestly, it took me the whole week to kind of come to terms |
| 2:58.2 | with a scale of it. So 3,000 people and this bivouac, like the cars go out in the morning, |
