from y'all. Today is October 12th and today is Farmers Day. And on this date in 2007,

Al Gore received a Nobel Peace Prize.

And starting with foreign policy, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Venezuelan opposition

leader Maria Corina Machado for her work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela.

In a normal timeline, an American president would be happy with this development,

because it undermines a leader that has an adversarial relationship with the U.S.

However, Trump is all up in his feelings over not getting the award himself.

Tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela are currently so high. The government there is preparing for a potential U.S. regime

change operation. Colombia is saying U.S. strikes against what the U.S. claims are Venezuelan boats killed Colombians.

The First Lady announced she has been working with Putin to try to reunite Ukrainian children with their families.

A fragile ceasefire has reportedly started in Gaza. The U.S. is reportedly sending troops to monitor the

ceasefire. In U.S. news, Trump has fired thousands of American workers after he didn't get his way

in blocking ACA extensions for working class Americans. It looks like about one in five at the education

department will be laid off. Even some Republicans are publicly breaking with Trump over this.

Speaker of the House Johnson described the no kings protest as a hate America rally. I feel like the founders would disagree.

Letitia James saw a massive fundraising surge after the Trump administration indicted her.

Signs point to John Bolton being charged soon as well. Wic got a special infusion of cash to try to keep it afloat during the government shutdown.
