Summary
Today on the show, we have some heartbreaking news to share. In Texas, a retired judge and his wife were tragically killed in their own home, and shockingly, their own son is the suspect. Seth Carnes, their 45-year-old son, allegedly shot and killed his parents before confessing to deputies. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, but it seems to have stemmed from a disagreement within the family. Seth claimed that he shot his parents because he believed his mother was going to force him to take a sleeping pill he didn't want. It's truly unimaginable to think of being killed by one's own child, and our hearts go out to the family during this devastating time.
In another horrifying crime, a woman in Chicago, Desiree Figueroa, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the killing of a pregnant teenager. Desiree, along with her mother, Clarissa Figueroa, lured the victim to their home and then strangled her before cutting the baby from her womb. The baby, sadly, survived for 51 days on life support machines before passing away. Clarissa is awaiting trial, and Desiree has agreed to testify against her mother as part of a plea deal. The gruesome nature of this crime is absolutely shocking and unthinkable.
Moving on, we discuss a range of other news topics, including an unusual jet ski accident, and a former gang leader in Los Angeles charged with orchestrating the killing of Tupac Shakur in 1996.
We also cover other disturbing cases, such as the arrest of a woman found with dead dogs stuffed into her refrigerator, and an escape of a gang leader in Ecuador.
