Rivian kicks us off. The Rivian R2 validation and real world testing is underway. Rivian's begun real world validation for the new R2, preparing for

full production plan for next year, according to a new blog post online at stories.rivian.com this

weekend. This validation phase starts at Rivian's pilot production line.

That's in California, where parts and assembly methods are tested to ensure they can be scaled.

Rivian says that after leaving the pilot stage, R2 vehicles move into intensive testing

at proving grounds and specialised test sites across the United States. The testing includes ongoing

performance checks, durability, vehicle dynamics reviews, control evaluations, software validation,

and examination of the ADAS system. The vehicles are tested comprehensively. From regular driving

to extreme temperatures and aggressive driving scenarios, engineers will collect

detail performance data from the tests to refine and finalize the R2 when it starts being made
