Thanks for turning into another edition of the Rippey Rites podcast.

Today we have NFL agent Michael Portner on the show. Also happens to be my friend.

He represents Orlando Brown. They just exited a round of contract negotiations that were

unsuccessful as Orlando Brown will now play the year out on the franchise tag, protecting Patrick

Mahomes as blindside.

Got into a lot of stuff.

I had Porter on back in December when he was first starting out as an agent and starting out as Delta Sports Group, as he is the founder of it.

And fast forward six months later, and he now represents an NFL Pro Bowl left tackle.

So we got into how the hell he managed to do

that, what actually goes into NFL contract negotiations and how it's not always what it is

perceived to be, what he's learned throughout the process about the NFL contract negotiations in

general and kind of his next move. So his training camps kick up all around the country this week,

as we kind of hit the home stretch before football season,
