Hello everyone and welcome to a sad edition of Turned Out of Punk. I'm your host

0:06.2

Damian Abraham and today I'm here to say rest in peace to Hamish-Kail Gower.

0:11.6

He is a unbelievable, unbelievably important music legend through

0:18.9

his work in The Clean, the Great Unwashed, countless other bands that he was involved in over the years and

0:26.4

Solo Works under his own name, a true legend and someone that I was overjoyed with to have on the show as a member of

0:36.8

the clean on this episode you're about to hear. What you're going to hear is the

0:40.7

sum total of pretty much my communication with Hamish, but it left such

0:46.2

an impression on me. I, you know, I don't want to, I just felt like I needed to put this back up so people had a chance to kind of hear Hamish in his own words talking about music and

1:00.4

maybe we can just take this moment of terrible tragedy to celebrate a great artist that was

1:08.0

sadly underappreciated in life and now tragically underappreciated that he's gone.

1:15.0

As I'm recording this, not much is known about what happened, but I will say this,

1:20.0

because it's a good thing to carry forward anyway, but check in on the people that you care about and, you know, and people out there please reach out to people I don't think I think it's important that we all carry with us that we are

1:41.6

Far less of a burden on people when we need to reach out for support.

1:49.0

And I don't think anyone would ever, you know, bemoan someone needing that support.

1:56.7

So as I say, I don't know what happened and I'm not here to speculate, but I do think that's just something positive to kind of carry forward.

2:05.2

And I think Hamish would agree.

2:08.4

That's it. I'm not going to kind of go on any further than to say, once again, rest in peace to Amish Kilgower and check out the clean

2:19.0

check out all this incredible work he leaves behind, a brilliant, brilliant artist and a brilliant musician

2:27.4

and a fantastic person that get a chance to talk to and I'm so grateful that I got an opportunity to kind of you

2:37.0

know express to these people you know on this podcast in general how much their music means to me and yeah I'm

2:46.7

glad I got to tell Hamish that. All right once again listen to the clean rest

2:50.6

in peace Hamish. David, Hamish, and Robert, thank you so much for coming on the show.
