This is one of those delights, true delights of my life, surreal delights of my life.

Richard Dawkins came to Australia and did a number of events, one of which I had the honour of hosting

at this beautiful venue, Brisbane City Hall, which is this old, you know, so often nowadays,

now I sound like an old man, so often nowadays, when your young kids come along and do their

bloody concerts with their flaming rock acts.

They take place in these sterile environments, these sort of international conference center type things,

when you're giving talks, you know, with these hard-backed sort of chairs and great acoustics, I'm sure, but completely charmless.

Well, this place was

beautiful, a kind of a Renaissance style thing. It looks glorious and fabulous, befitting the

occasion, befitting the man. And when I talk about the man, I mean me, of course. Richard was good,

too, I guess. There was a moment during this interview with Richard where he was talking on at length about some answer.

I was wrapped, and so was the audience.

And I just sat there on the stage gazing out at this packed, sold-out event.

All these people, here I am, Dawkins, back with Dawkins, I'd interviewed

him a few times at live events, also on Huffpost Live, but mainly those live events because I

used to do charity work for the Richard Dawkins Foundation, and I used to host a podcast called Point of Inquiry

for the Centre for Inquiry, which later merged with the Richard Dawkins Foundation,

because I've always been involved in charities that try to push for the spread of science, reason,

rationality, and secularism.

So during that period, while I was living in the United States,
