So you do the Foreman Vineyards now for a long time? Oh my gosh I've been in the business of making wine for 46 years, 30 I guess at Foreman. I started Foreman vineyards in 19, well I bought the property in 1978

Started developing it then but didn't actually start the brand until 1983.

Originally you had works while you were a student at Stony Hill.

I went to UC Davis undergraduate and graduate school in food science and you know gee while I was in graduate school the last couple of years of college I

1967 and then the harvest of Robert Mondavi in 1968.

Oh, they were fantastic.

Here I am a student thinking that I wanted to make wine.

Pretty darn sure I did. Very excited about it.

The wine industry was just beginning to open up.

You know, Robert Mondavi kind of turned the new page for the whole industry and in 66, up to that point, there had been almost no development since practically prohibition.
