Reese James and this is a really interesting one because I've had Reese on the podcast before,

but we did it over Zoom. And almost all the podcast over Zoom go far better than I expected,

including that one. I thought it was

lovely to meet Reese. I thought it was a great episode. But doing this one in person felt so

different. It felt like we really got to properly connect and properly, I don't know,

interact and engage. And yeah, there was a lot of, you'll hear,

there's a lot of connections. Part of that is because Reese's got a new book called You'll

Like It When You Get There, A Life Lived Reluctantly. It came out last week, August 14th, out now.

And yeah, there's a lot in it that made me realize we're very, very similar people.

It's that weird thing, isn't it?

Like, when you're doing research and you're going off, I don't know,

wiki pages or press junket things or even the stand-up shows,

you can get a certain amount, but it makes all the difference

when someone has written, you know, a biography of sorts.

It's described as an introverts manifesto, a refreshingly honest look at modern life and how to get out of living it.

So yeah, I was delighted to sit down with Reese and properly, properly, I thought we'd already hit it off.

I considered Reese a friend. I hope that's not too bold. But now I consider him a lover.
