What's up, guys, this is Jacques and welcome to the very first episode of Poplitically

Incorrect.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm a former music blogger. I now

work as an entertainment journalist. A lot of people would probably describe me as a problematic

Twitter troll, but I try to take that as a compliment. I love reality TV, ice lattes, tweeting

my terrible takes about absolutely everything and standing the housewives that everybody hates, like Teddy.

Like most white gays, I've wanted to start a podcast for years, but it wasn't until the most

recent season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that I finally decided to take the plunge.

Unlike the masses, I definitely was not team Denise. I think Doreet had her most boring and

useless season ever, and Garcel was

completely overhyped. At this point, I thought, you know what, maybe there is room for a

contrarian podcast instead of just another Bravo stand gushing about Derinda being a flawless

queen every week. Of course, I watch plenty of stuff outside of Bravo, a lot of other reality

shows that I will be covering too. Despite the

name of my show, this isn't a political podcast, but I am fascinated by the intersection between

politics and pop culture, so I will be getting into a lot of that, like, for example, all of the

crazy cancel culture stuff going on right now. I also have amazing and fun interviews coming with

some interesting and controversial people,

and yes, they do include some Real Housewives. So, yep, let's get into it. Thanks for listening.
